What do you do to take care of yourself when you are struggling with the emotions of infertility?

I'm having a hard time today so I'd love to hear your suggestions!  I was ok until I had down time to think about where I am right now.

Obviously writing is one thing that helps me get out the negative energy.  How about you?


  1. I'm a control freak, which is probably not the best thing for an IF, but I felt better if I was keeping track of everything I could or trying some new method. Also, avoidance LOL, keeping busy to not think about it. These probably are NOT good ways of dealing with it, but it was all I could come up with! *hugs*

  2. I am the same as Melissa...control, control, control.... now granted, there is SO much that can't be controlled with IF...but those things that can be? I grab onto like a crazy person. Writing is a huge help, and I am a big fan of distraction when I'm too emotional to think a movie, or a game, or a book...anything to get my mind off things! Hang in there! :-(
